This week as part of our Fairytales study, we decided to try to tell the fairytales without words. This was quite hard to start with but we soon realised if we used our voices and instruments then we could give clues to the audience about which fairytale we did. Olivia, Anastasia and Tupou did Cinderella. Armand, Vaughn, Arne and Dylan did The 3 Little Pigs. Calvin, Cameron, Gabriel and Luke did Little Red Riding Hood. Gerogia F, Yustina and Roshika did The 3 Bears. Em, Tash, Gerogia C and Jessica did The Ugly Duckling. Delphi, Joane, Elisha and Elise did Jack and The Beanstalk.
On Thursday we got to show them to Mrs McPhee. She thought they were GREAT!!
I wonder what we will do with fairytales next???

The Three Billy Goats Gruff
We have started to learn all about Fairy Tales. As part of this we have been working on a reader theatre of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We decided to make this into a play and to make masks to wear. We made a bridge and used the block to walk over, and we practised using charater voices for each part. Finally, once we had rehersed, we showed the play to KG and they LOVED it! Hopfully we can do more readers theatres later in the term.
| Here we are with our bridge, modelling our masks. |
